Brainstorming Tool Does Competition Analysis Too!
The competition wizard in the brainstorm toolwill not only generate hundreds of related keyword phrases, but also find the top competing sites, URLs and top ranked web-page titles. These are displayed in an easy to use tabbed interface (see screen shot above).
The competition - Top sites and the SERP strength
The top level domain names of the competing sites are extracted and displayed along with the strength. The site strength is calculated on the basis of the ranks in search engine result pages (SERPs). You can right click within this list and select Setup Columns to display additional columns or hide columns. The supported displayable data include the site host names, the strengths and the SERP ranks in the top search engines.
You can right click and select Open in browser to display any site in your default web browser.
Comparing the SERPs
The Compare Ranks tab in SEOLab displays a comparison chart showing the positions of various sites in the top three search engines. You can use it to quickly compare the positions of various sites across the search engines. Click on any row in any search engine window and the results in other windows will automatically scroll to show the rank of the same site in the other two search engines (see screen shot).
